Where To Jet Ski In Kelowna

BOOK NOW

Locals in Kelowna adore the water. They are on it when they are not in it. And when they aren't on it, they are either looking at it or plotting a speedy entry in their swimsuits because they are envious of others who are enjoying its cooling touch.

Not every resident of Kelowna is the proud owner of a pair of jet skis or paddleboards attached to the top of their cars. Much fewer visitors can boast of this.

However, they are aware of where to go if they want to hire a Sea-Doo or a kayak for an early-evening excursion or charter a boat for the day. They are the ideal locations for family picnics, jet skiing, and swimming, as well as the nicest beaches.

Here are some of the top locations for watersports and rentals in Kelowna, as recommended by a local.

1. Downtown Marina

Downtown Marina, which offers jet ski rental, is conveniently situated near Kelowna's waterfront entrance. A few short steps will get you to lunch, shopping, and many more sights and activities. If you want to try your hand at skimming the waves on a stand-up paddleboard, jet ski, surfboard, wakeboard, or tube, a gas bar and rentals are also offered.

Bringing a boat of your own? Along the Okanagan lakeshore, more boat launches with fuel stations and other amenities may be found in Kelowna, West Kelowna, and Peachland. You can also locate a launch if you're planning a lengthy vacation.

West Kelowna, Peachland, and Kelowna all have lakeshores. You may also locate launch sites and moorage in Vernon, which is to the north, Summerland, and Penticton, which is to the south, if you're planning a lengthy journey.

2. Okanagan lakes

There are around 30 beaches around Okanagan Lake, which are popular tourist destinations. There are restrooms, refreshment stands, and playgrounds on numerous beaches.

The magnificent Okanagan Lake stretches 135 kilometers (84 miles) from the north (Vernon) to the south (Penticton). The magnificent 5-lane William R. Bennett Bridge connects the east and west sides of the lake, and Kelowna is almost halfway in between.

Visit Okanagan Mountain Provincial Park at the east end of the lake, just south of Kelowna, if you have access to a boat. The park, which is largely inaccessible by land but offers marine camping and quiet bays and beaches, is a boater's paradise.

The Okanagan Lake, with its vast area, is the ideal location for watersports. It is the ideal size for boating and can easily accommodate all the tourists that come around each year. Take to the water on a Kelowna Sea-Doo for a day of water skiing. To make the summer one to remember, consider renting a houseboat with family or friends and spending time on the deck with drinks in hand as you enjoy the summer sun.

Popular boat launches in this area include;

  • Lakeshore Road Boat Launch

It may get fairly congested because this is where most people launch their boats. There is a minor fee associated with one benefit, but there is plenty of parking available for both standard cars and trailers.

  • Boat Launch on Water Street

It can get a little wild here during peak hours as it is one of the busiest boat launches on Lake Okanagan, with both boats being launched and people walking along the boardwalks. The traffic flow is consistently favorable because parking officials keep things flowing.

  • Boat Launch at Gellatly Bay

Despite being the only boat launch in West Kelowna, it is still a wonderful option because it is frequently empty. This launch's advantages include easy access and no parking fees. It is situated at the West Kelowna Yacht Club.

  • Boat Launch at Peach Orchard Park (Summerland)

One of the most picturesque sites to launch a boat is Summerland. You may enjoy a full day of relaxation and water activities with a short journey to beaches like Sun-Oka!

If you want to rent jet skis in this area, Kelowna Sea-Doo Rentals is your best bet, as we cover these areas.

3. Osoyoos lake

Osoyoos Lake, a summertime haven, is yet another fantastic alternative in the Okanagan Valley. In the summer, beach lovers and water sport addicts swarm the beaches of Osoyoos, which is a very popular community. There are countless water sports activities you can participate in at Osoyoos Lakes. There are two boat launches in Osoyoos where jet ski enthusiasts can begin their day: Lion’s Park in downtown Osoyoos and Haynes Point Provincial Park.
