Kalamalka Lake is located in between Kelowna and Vernon, and is only a short drive from Vernon. Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park and Kekuli Bay Provincial Park are on either side of this large lake, with plenty of activities for all ages. For individuals who don't want to go to Kelowna / Okanagan Lake, Kalamalka Lake is an ideal alternative for various on- and off-shore activities.
Kekuli Bay Provincial Park has one of the main boat launches for Kalamalka Lake, which offers boaters easy access to get out on the water. Like Okanagan Lake, all of the best water activities like waterskiing, wakeboarding and tubing can be done here, but without the excessive water traffic. Kalamalka Lake is also known for turning a stunning turquois colour in the summer months, and is really a site to see.
